I’m From the Ghetto by DJ Khaled- This song reminds me of my twin sister. Whenever I drove her car, this song was always playing on a CD and I hated it. I love my sister, but i hate the music she listens to and this song reminds me of her hahaha. After listening to it a bunch of times however, i don’t hate it as much as i used to.

I Want it That Way by the Backstreet Boys- This song instantly reminds me of senior year and the senior show. The last act of the senior show was me and 4 of my friends singing this song. It was really funny and everyone was going crazy so I’ll never forget that.

The Rake’s Song by the Decemberists- This song reminds me of one of my buddies from home because we went to a Decemberist concert in Boston last summer with his dad and his dad’s friend from college. They introduced me to the band, and they are now a band that I really like.

Day Tripper by the Beatles- This reminds me of Band Night when I was in 5th grade. Every year at my school, the students and faculty could make bands and preform 1 song at Band Night, which took place once a year. Student bands started in 5th grade, and went up to 8th grade. This year, the theme was The Beatles, so each band had to play a Beatles song, and this was the song that the faculty band played. I remember them playing it really really well and since then I have really liked this song.

Time Is Running Out by Muse- I’m not really sure why, but for some reason this song reminds me of summer at home. I just think about a lot of different people, having no worries, chilling on the beach, driving around, great times. I live in a small town, so everyone is pretty close at home, and i just think about everyone and random summer memories.

Crooked Teeth by Death Cab for Cutie- This song reminds me of 3 things. The first is senior summer because I always listened to this song that summer. The second is the girl who gave me this song. The third is my math class senior year because i remember one day when we were all chilling in class and listening to music, this song came on

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by the Indigo Girls-This song brings me right back to my American Studies class junior year. Everyone in the class was really close and it was one of my favorite classes in high school. My two teachers listened to the indigo girls and shared a bunch of their songs with the class, so i always think of that class and those two teachers when i hear this song.

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton- This association is a little random because although this is a sad song, it doesn’t remind me of anything sad at all. Instead it reminds me of my tennis captain when i was a freshman in high school, who turned out to be one of my buddies. At our tennis banquet freshman year, he was sitting on the couch playing around on his guitar, and he played this song. I had been teaching myself guitar since 6th grade and i really wanted to learn how to play this song when i heard him playing it. He told me it wasn’t that hard to learn, so i went home and learned it. I remember where i was sitting and that exact banquet whenever i hear this song.

Im Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers- I remember sitting in a rental car in florida over winter vacation when i was younger, and i was waiting for my mom who was picking up food. This song came on the radio and i had heard it before but i didn’t know the name, so i went back and searched online for it.

Lonelily by Damian Rice- Although a lot of songs remind me of my high school girlfriend, this one stands out in particular. Before we were together, I was driving with her to a dinner fundraiser, and she put this song on her ipod and told me that whenever i hear it, i should always think of her…and i still do haha

Oklahoma Girl by Eli Young Band- This song reminds me of a girl from high school. She introduced me to the band, and this is one of my favorite songs by them. I hate country music and she loves country music, and she made me get this album by them. It’s the only country music i have in my library.

Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap- This song reminds me of being up really late freshman year in my dorm. I used to listen to this song if I had trouble going to sleep. It brings a few emotions to mind that i was feeling last year too.

Wipeout by Surfaris-This song reminds me of a band that i played in when i was 14-16. The drummer was a 10 year old child prodigy and he is actually traveling the world now playing in another band, but he used to play ridiculous drum solo’s to this song.

Crank That by Soulja Boy- I remember the first time i heard this song. I was chillin in an abandoned parking lot with a bunch of kids in high school and one kid was playing it in his car, and some kids were doing the dance.

I love College by Asher Roth-This song reminds me of 2 things. The first is of all my pledge brothers because someone made a slide show of first semester freshman year, and this song was the background. The second is the night I went with a bunch of my friends from home to a Kid Cudi and Asher Roth concert in Boston last summer.

The Space Between by Dave Mathews Band-I havn’t actually listened to this song in a very very long time, but it immediately sparked a feeling of being in 5th grade or something and at camp. I donno why, I think i remember hearing this on the boom box by the pool at camp, or at a community pool that i used to go swimming at when i was a little kid. Its creeping me out that i remember that, but i know that that is where i heard this song the most.

Beautiful Disaster by 311-This song reminds me of my buddy Sid who I knew from Boston, but he also goes to wisco. Last summer, Sid and I went to a 311 concert in Boston, so i always think of him when i hear this song.

Warrior, pt 2 by Lloyd Banks- This song reminds me of tennis season in high school, and specifically one of my buddies from home and his car. He has a 1975 crappy convertible that is falling apart, but he put a crazy sound system in it, and i remember driving around listening to this song in that car haha

Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh-This song reminds me of one of my good friends dad who i remember was watching a concert on tv with joe walsh playing this song in it, and he wanted me to show me one of the other artists that was playing, but we also watched joe walsh play.

Message in a Bottle by The Police-This song immediately reminds me of band night in 7th grade. During band night, students would preform songs that they had been working on for the past couple weeks. That year, my band played this song and i played drums for it.

James by Billy Joel- This song makes me think of my dad because he told me to listen to this song.

Wildcat by Ratatat-This song reminds me of my dorm room from last year. My roommate always played this song so it makes me remember things from last year.

I Hope You Dance-by Lea Ann Womack-This song reminds me of my good friend’s mom who died of cancer when I was a junior in highschool. I remember specifically driving with my friend right when she first got sick and this song was on the radio, and he told me that it was his mom’s favorite song so i always think of her when i hear it.

Tuesday’s Gone by Lynard Skynard-This song always reminds me of my favorite movie, happy gilmore. This song is on the soundtrack and plays at the end of the movie. i think that it’s the first place that i heard this song when i was younger so i always remember that last scene when happy goes home at the end.

That Was a Crazy Game of Poker by OAR- This song reminds me of when I was in 8th grade and I used to play poker with one of my good friends from home, and all of his friends from his school (he went to a different school than me). We used to play poker probably once a month, and this was one of the songs that was always on the playlist haha.

Guarantees by Atmosphere- This song reminds me of my roommate from last year. I wasn’t really into atmosphere until he introduced me to them. He really liked this song and I learned it on guitar so he could sing along to it lol.

Better Man by Pearl Jam- This is one of my favorite songs by pearljam and it actually reminds me of something that is a little unexpected. The first thing that imediately pops into my head is my mandatory health class from high school. I took this class freshman year and I remember watching a movie about abuse and this song was playing during the credits. It was a powerful movie and everyone was really quiet when the credits came on, and this song lightened to mood a little bit so I specifically remember that.
